Olga Kurylenko, born on November 14, 1979 in Berdyansk, Ukraine, is a Ukrainian model and actress. She had a very modest upbringing partly due to her parents’ early divorce and her fortunes only began to change when she was scouted by a talent scout in Moscow and eventually signed to Madison modeling agency.
Before receiving wide exposure on several covers of such magazines as Vogue, Elle, Madame Figaro and Marie Claire, she primarily appeared in print ads for minor brands and occasional runway appearances. Later she signed up to represents international brands, including Bebe clothing line, Lejaby lingerie and others. She would later go on to be the face of Kenzo Amour.
Besides being a model she always aspired to develop her acting career, and she appeared in numerous French based productions, such as “L’Annulaire”. After starring in “Hitman”, she was being considered to be the next Bond Girl, and after several auditions, she landed the part in “Quantum of Solace”, a 22nd sequel of a blockbuster franchise, working alongside Daniel Craig. This role led her to being featured on the cover of Maxim magazine.
