Angelia Jolie, born on June 4, 1975, in Los Angeles, California is an American actress. She is a daughter of her actor parents Jon Voight and Marcheline Bertrand. After her parents’ separation in 1976, she was raised by her mom, who inspired her interest in acting. She has reportedly been teased by her classmates in Beverly Hills High School, for wearing glasses and braces, as well as her modest upbringing, compared to the more affluent families. Angelina felt isolation I that environment and later admitted that she was cutting herself as it was “somehow therapeutic to” her.

In her early career she pursued modeling and also appeared in music videos by Antonello Vendetti (“Alta Marea”), Lenny Kravitz (“Stand by my Woman”), and The Lemonheads (“It’s About Time”). Besides her acting career, Angelina, together with her famous husband Brad Pitt, have been instrumental in raising awareness of the world poverty and hunger, as well as a problem of refugees, displaced as a result of armed conflicts. As a part of her work, she has traveled through the poorest areas of Africa, South-East Asia, South America, and even Europe. She’s currently a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Refugee Agency. Angelina has adopted 3 children from African poor families, named Maddox, Pax, and Zahara.
